Out of Hours Emergencies / Visits Blackpool Primary Care Trust is responsible for our out-of-hours service. This does not affect the service provided to you. For emergency treatment only outside normal surgery hours please ring the surgery you are registered with: Adelaide Street Surgery: 620725 Kentmere Drive Surgery: 763556 Listen carefully to the answer machine message. You can also see an experienced nurse for treatment of minor injuries and illnesses, seven days a week, Monday - Saturday 8.00am until 9.00pm, Sunday and Bank Holidays 9.00am until 8.00pm, and Christmas day 10.00am until 4.00pm at the Walk-in Centre, 26 Talbot Road, Blackpool. You do not need an appointment. NHS Direct offers free expert health information and advice 24-hours a day on 0845 4647 or at their website, www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk which also offers an enquiry service. For deaf people and those hard of hearing, a telephone service is available on 0845 606 4647. If English is not your preferred language, you can choose to use a confidential translation service. Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest accident and emergency department or call 999. Accident and emergency departments are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can assess serious injuries and provide emergency treatment. Patients With Particular Needs Both our surgeries are accessible to patients using a wheelchair. |
